COLLEGE BOY JESSE

BIOGRAPHY
College Boy Jesse, the reigning Groovy Soca Monarch is a talented young artist from Trinidad and Tobago. Born Jesse Stewart in Cunupia, College began performing at the tender age of seven. Throughout the years since he has copped several titles and gained recognition as one of the Caribbean's most electrifying performers.

Also known as an accomplished songwriter, Jesse has several writing credits with some of the region's most celebrated artists including Alison Hinds, Machel Montano and Skinny Fabulous.

An avid athlete he was selected to play on Trinidad and Tobago’s National Football team where as the only university student on the squad, his teammates first called him "College Boy." He attended the University of Trinidad and Tobago on a football scholarship earning a Bachelors degree in Sports Administration. He furthered his studies at Heriot Watt University in Scotland where he completed a Masters degree in Marketing.

College released his first hit "Bartender" in 2012 whilst still a student. This provided his debut on the international stage as a touring artist. He has since toured extensively throughout the Caribbean, the U.S., the U.K. and Europe. "Better Now" (2017) found him featured on a riddim (The Connect Riddim) with prominent soca artists for the first time. "Fling" (2018) became his most viewed video until recently and helped to significantly boos his social media following. "Temptation" (2019) was not only a hit with fans, but gained the attention and respect of fellow artists.

In 2020 College won the Groovy Soca Monarch title in his first entry in the International Soca Monarch Competition, the ultimate prize in soca music with his refreshingly optimistic anthem the "Happy Song". Now a household name with a quickly rising reputation for engaging music and performances, College Boy Jesse is intent on expanding his audience globally.
